Complex Hessian equations of the type \((\chi+dd^c \phi)^k \omega^{n-k}=cf\omega^n\) have been well studied on Kähler manifolds (when \(\chi\) and \(\omega\) are Kähler). They have also been studied on Hermitian manifolds (either compact without boundary or smoothly bounded domains) when \(f\geq 0\) is either smooth or \(L^p\) for large \(p\). In this paper, the authors produce continuous solutions to these equations on Hermitian manifolds (that are either compact without boundary (Theorem 1) or a ball (Theorem 2)) when \(f\) is in \(L^1\) and \(f\omega^n\) is ``Dini-diffuse''. The proof hinges heavily on pluripotential theory and approximation by smooth objects.
