This article is a contribution to a recent program that aims at classifying all Weingarten surfaces or linear Weingarten surfaces \(M\) in Euclidean and Minkowski three-space. A surface is called ``Weingarten surface'' or ``linear Weingarten surface'' if two of the curvatures \(K\) (Gaussian curvature), \(H\) (mean curvature), or \(K_{I\!I}\) (Gaussian curvature of the second fundamental form) satisfy the Jacobi condition \[ X_uY_v-X_vY_u = 0 \] or the linear relation \[ aX+bY=c \] (\(X\), \(Y \in \{K, H, K_{I\!I}\}\), \(X \neq Y\), \((a,b,c) \neq (0,0,0)\)). The article under review studies the two cases \[ \Phi(K, K_{I\!I}) = 0 \quad\text{and}\quad \Phi(H, K_{I\!I}) = 0 \] in Euclidean three-space under the additional assumption that \(M\) is a polynomial translation surface. In both cases, the surface \(M\) turns out to be part of a paraboloid of revolution.
