The reviewed paper deals with computing the number of distinct cycle lengths in the cycle structure of an automorphism on an abelian group. Based on the following result, namely that the cycle structure of any automorphism of \(\mathbb{Z}^n\), where \(n\geq 1\), possesses at most finitely many distinct cycle lengths, the authors immediately ask: How many distinct cycle lengths possibly occur in the cycle structure of an automorphism of \(\mathbb{Z}^n\)? Some partial answers are given in Theorems 3.6, 3.7, 3.8 and Theorems 4.1, 4.2.
