Let \(M\) be a closed Riemannian manifold, \(\mathrm{PH}(M)\) be the set of partially hyperbolic \(C^1\) diffeomorphisms in \(M\) (i.e., there is continuous splitting \({TM = E^s \oplus E^c\oplus E^u}\) with the well-known contraction properties), and let \({\mathrm{PH}_{c=1}(M)}\) be the set of partially hyperbolic diffeomorphisms in \(M\) with \(\dim E^c=1.\) A diffeomorphism \(f\in \mathrm{PH}_{c=1}(M)\) is called \textit{discretized Anosov flow} if there exists a continuous flow \({\varphi_t:M\to M}\), for which \({\frac{\partial\varphi_t}{\partial t}|_{t=0}}\) is a continuous vector field without singularities, and there exists a continuous function \({\tau:M\to\mathbb{R}}\) such that \[ f(x)=\varphi_{\tau(x)}(x)\text{ for every }x\in M. \] The prototypical examples of a discretized Anosov flows are the time-1 map of an Anosov flow and its small \(C^1\)-perturbations. This notion and related ones have appeared recently and independently in different works, such as [\textit{T. Barthelmé} et al., ``Partially hyperbolic diffeomorphisms homotopic to the identity in dimension 3, Part I: The dynamically coherent case'', Preprint, \url{arXiv:1908.06227}; \textit{J. Buzzi} et al., Ann. Sci. Éc. Norm. Supér. (4) 55, No. 4, 969--1002 (2022; Zbl 1515.37029)]. In the article, the author shows the equivalence among many related notions. Some general properties for \({\mathrm{PH}_{c=1}(M)}\) in any dimension are discussed as well. Among them: the set of discretized Anosov flows is a \(C^1\)-open and closed subset of \({\mathrm{PH}_{c=1}(M)}\); every discretized Anosov flow is dynamically coherent and plaque expansive; the flow \(\varphi_t\) is topologically Anosov; the function \(\tau\) has no zero and is \(C^1\) restricted to each leaf of \(W^c;\) unique integrability of the center bundle is shown to happen for whole connected components.
