Consider the planar polynomial system \[ \begin{array}{l} \frac{{dx}}{{dt}}= -y, \\ \frac{{dy}}{{dt}} = x+b_1xy^7+b_2x^3y^5+b_3x^5y^3+b_4x^7y \end{array}\tag{1} \] having the origin as unique equilibrium and whose phase portrait is symmetric with respect to the \(y\)-axis. The authors prove that the origin is an isochronous center and that system (1) can be transformed to the form \[ \begin{array}{l} \frac{{dx}}{{dt}}= -y, \\ \frac{{dy}}{{dt}} = x+x^5y(x^2+y^2). \end{array}\tag{2} \]
