The paper under review treats the termination of flips for NQC log canonical genralized pairs (abbreviated as NQC lc g-pairs). Here a NQC lc g-pair consists of an lc g-pair \((X, B+M)\) with a birational morphism \(X'\to X\) such that \(M'\) is an \(\mathbb R\)-divisor on \(X'\) which is a \(\mathbb R\)-linear combination of \(\mathbb Q\)-Cartier nef divisors such that the pushforward of \(M'\) is \(M\). The main result Theorem 1.3 is based Birkar's strategy in [\textit{C. Birkar}, Duke Math. J. 136, No. 1, 173--180 (2007; Zbl 1109.14018)] to extend the termination result from usual pairs to generalized pairs. It states that under the assumption of lower dimensional termination of flips for \(\mathbb Q\)-factorial NQC klt g-pairs, any sequence of flips of a pseudo-effective NQC lc g-pair \((X/Z, B+M)\) will terminate if the g-pair admits a NQC weak Zariski decomposition over \(Z\). As an application, the authors confirm that any sequence of flips will terminate for four dimensional pseudo-effective NQC lc g-pairs. To achieve this, one needs to check the two main ingredients in Theorem 1.3, i.e., termination in lower dimension and existence of NQC weak Zariski decomposition. To get the termination result in dimension three for NQC lc g-pairs, the authors follow the ideas applied in usual pairs developed by Shokurov, Kawamata, etc. For existence of NQC weak Zarisiki decomposition for pseudo-effective g-lc pairs of dimension four, it was already established in the work [\textit{V. Lazić} and \textit{N. Tsakanikas}, Publ. Res. Inst. Math. Sci. 58, No. 2, 311--339 (2022; Zbl 1497.14032)] by Lazić and the second author.
