Notes on sharp and principal elements in effect algebras (Q6139858)

The authors study sharp and principal elements in effect algebras. They present characterizations of sharp (principal, resp.) elements, characterizations when the set of sharp elements is an orthoalgebra (an orthomodular poset, resp.) and when the set of principal elements is an orthomodular poset. Moreover, they showed that an effect algebra is an orthomodular poset if and only if every its pre-lattice ideal is an effect algebra.
