Let \(K\) be a field and \(S=K[X_1,\ldots,X_n]\) be the standard graded polynomial ring with coefficients in \(K.\) Let \(G\) be a simple undirected graph with \(\vert V(G)\vert=n.\) The authors are considering the problem of classifying the graphs \(G\) for which the Alexander dual \(I(G)^\vee\) has a homological linear resolution and those with homological linear quotients. They restrict theirselves to the class of very-well covered graphs, that is unmixed graphs without isolated vertices such that \(2\cdot \text{height}(I(G))=\vert V(G)\vert.\) They study these graphs by considering the Betti splittings of the cover ideals of CM very-well covered graphs, so that they construct explicitly a minimal free resolution of \(I(G)^\vee.\) They show that the cover ideal of a CM very well covered graph has homological linear quotients. Several examples are given.
