The authors attempt to extend some results on spaces of frames to fusion frames. They specifically study unweighted fusion frames. Two main results are proved by following well-ordered questions, examples, and propositions. Theorem 1.9 attempts to show that the space of tight fusion frames in a complex Hilbert space with a prescribed sequence of subspace dimensions is path connected, which is a generalization of the complex frame homotopy theorem. In Theorem 1.14, they extend the Benedetto-Fickus theorem to give general conditions that ensure that the fusion frame potential has no spurious local minimizers. In part 2, the authors study co-adjoint orbits. They generalize Theorem 2.5 (\textit{F. C. Kirwan} [Cohomology of quotients in symplectic and algebraic geometry. Princeton, NJ: Princeton University Press (1984; Zbl 0553.14020)]) via Corollary 2.6. Parts 3 and 4 analyse the symplectic geometry of spaces of operator-valued frames, specializing in tightening fusion frames. Parts 2, 3, 4 together build the base to prove Theorem 1.14. Overall, the paper is very descriptive, and well-written.
