In this intersting paper the authors generalize and extend the Conley-Morse-Forman theory for combinatorial multivector fields, introduced by the third author in [Found. Comput. Math. 17, No. 6, 1585--1633 (2017; Zbl 1384.54023)], in the following three directions: (1) Drop the restraining assumption in the reference above that every multivector must have a unique maximal element; (2) Define the dynamical system induced by the multivector field in a less restrictive way; (3) Change the setting from Lefschetz complexes to finite topological spaces. The paper is organized into seven sections as follows. Introduction; Main results (combinatorial phase space, combinatorial dynamical systems, combinatorial multivector fields, combinatorial flow associated with a multivector field, graph interpretation, essential solutions, isolated invariant sets and Conley index, Morse decompositions); Preliminaries (sets and maps, relations and digraphs, posets, finite topological spaces, Lefschetz complexes, homology in finite topological spaces); Dynamics of combinatorial multivector fields (multivalued dynamical systems in finite spaces, solutions and paths, combinatorial multivector fields, essential solutions, isolated invariant sets, multivector field as a digraph); Index pairs and Conley index (index pairs and their properties, Conley index); Attractors, repellers and limit sets (attractors, repellers and indecomposable sets, limit sets); Morse decomposition, Morse equation, Morse inequalities (Morse decompositions, strongly connected components as Morse decomposition, Morse sets, Morse equation and Morse inequalities). The paper ends with a rich and suggestive bibliography containing many contributions to this topic.
