The most significant applications of the extended affine Lie algebras in many areas of mathematics and mathematical physics lie in the representation theory of these Lie algebras. The study of representation theory of the extended affine Lie algebras is a very meaningful work. In this article, the author constructs a class of modules for the extended affine Lie algebra \(\widetilde{\mathfrak{gl}}_l(\mathbb{C}_q)\) by using the free fields. The author also proves the necessary and sufficient conditions of irreducibility for the class of modules.
