Let \(W_{d}\) be the Weyl group of type \(B_{d}\) and \(\mathcal{H}_{B_{d}}\) the associated Hecke algebra generated by \(H_{0}, H_{1}, \dots, H_{d-1}\) in two parameters \(q\) and \(p\). It contains the type \(\mathrm{A}\) Hecke algebra \(\mathcal{H}_{S_{d}}\) as a subalgebra. A quasi-parabolic subgroup of \(W_{d}\) (as described by the second author and \textit{W. Wang} [Adv. Math. 427, Article ID 109131, 40 p. (2023; Zbl 1522.20028)] is a reflection subgroup of the form: \(W_{f}=W_{m_{1}} \times \dots\times W_{m_{k}} \times S_{m_{k+1}} \times \dots\times S_{m_{\ell}}\), where \(m_{1}+ \dots+m_{\ell}=d\), \(k \leq \ell\) and \(m_{1}, \dots, m_{\ell}\) are positive integers. The subgroup \(W_{f}\) is parabolic if and only if \(k \leq 1\).\N\NThe second author and Wang [loc. cit.] constructed bar involution and canonical basis for a quasi-permutation module of the Hecke algebra associated to a type \(\mathrm{B}\) Weyl group \(W\), where the basis is parameterized by left cosets of a quasi-parabolic reflection subgroup in \(W\). In the paper under review, the authors provide an alternative approach to these constructions and thus generalize them to Coxeter groups which contain a product of type \(\mathrm{B}\) Weyl groups as a parabolic subgroup.
