With each nilpotent element \(e\) in a reductive Lie algebra \(\mathfrak{g}\) one associates the so-called \textit{finite \(W\)-algebra} \(W(\mathfrak{g},e)\). In this paper the author studies such finite \(W\)-algebras for symplectic and orthogonal Lie algebras in the case when all Jordan blocks of \(e\) have the same size (the author calls such finite \(W\)-algebras \textit{rectangular}). The main result of the paper is a classification of finite dimensional irreducible representations of such rectangular finite \(W\)-algebras in terms of certain combinatorial properties of their highest weights (given by certain skew-symmetric tableaux).
