The quintessential problem in harmonic analysis is to prove the boundedness of certain integral operators on some function spaces. Many papers can thus be described by the choice of operators and spaces they act on. The paper under review is concerned with three generalised averaging operators defined respectively by \N\[\N\mathcal{H}^{m}f:x \mapsto |x|^{-nm} \int _{|(y_1,\dots,y_{m})|<|x|} f(y_{1})\dots f(y_{m}) dy_{1}\dots dy_{m}, \N\]\N\[\NH_{\beta}f:x \mapsto |x|^{\beta-n} \int _{B(0,x)}f(y)dy, \N\]\N\[\NU_{\psi}f:x \mapsto \int _{0} ^{1} f(tx)\psi(t)dt,\N\]\Nfor \(f \in L^{2}(\mathbb{R}^{n})\). Note that the standard averaging operator corresponds to \(\psi=1\), \(m=1\), and \(\beta = 0\) respectively. The function spaces being considered are mixed norm radial-angular \(L^p\) spaces defined by the norms \N\[\N\|f\|_{L^{p}_{rad} L^{\tilde{p}}_{ang}}:=\left(\int _{0} ^{\infty} \|f(r\cdot)\|_{L^{\tilde{p}}(S^{n-1})}^{p} r^{n-1}dr\right)^{1/p}, \N\]\Nas well as Hertz spaces defined by the norms \N\[\N\left(\sum _{k \in \mathbb{Z}} 2^{k\alpha} \|\chi_{k}f\|_{L^{p}_{rad} L^{\tilde{p}}_{ang}} ^{q}\right)^{\frac{1}{q}},\N\]\Nwhere \(\chi_{k}\) are cutoff functions supported on dyadic annuli and other similar spaces. The authors first prove boundedness of \(\mathcal{H}^{m}\) on products of \(L^{p}_{rad} L^{\tilde{p}}_{ang}\) with power weights of the form \(r^{\alpha}\), and compute its precise norm. They do the same for \(H_{\beta}\) from \(L^{p_{1}}_{rad} L^{\tilde{p_{1}}}_{ang}\) to \(L^{p_{2}}_{rad} L^{\tilde{p_{2}}}_{ang}\), provided \(1/p_{1}-1/p_{2} = \beta/n\), and for \(U_{\psi}\) on corresponding Hertz spaces, provided \(\int_{0} ^{1} t^{-\alpha-n/p}\psi(t)dt<\infty\). This generalises previous work of the authors [\textit{R. Liu} and \textit{S. Tao}, Bull. Korean Math. Soc. 60, No. 5, 1409--1425 (2023; Zbl 1527.42020)] for \(\mathcal{H}_{m}\) instead of \(\mathcal{H}^{m}\) (replacing \(|(y_1,\dots,y_{m})|<|x|\) by \(|y_{j}|<|x|\) for all \(j\)), for \(H_{\beta}\) without exact computation of the norm, and for \(U_{\psi}\) on \(L^{p}_{rad} L^{\tilde{p}}_{ang}\) rather than the corresponding Herz spaces.
