Let \((M,g)\) be a Riemannian manifold, \(p>1\). The \(p\)-harmonic and \(p\)-subharmonic functions are defined by the operator \(\text{div} (|\nabla u|^{p-2}\nabla u)\). If \(p=2\), then we have classical, harmonic and subharmonic functions. Under some assumptions on \((M,g)\) the authors prove the Liouville-type theorem \[ \varliminf_{r\to\infty} \frac{1}{\text{Vol } B_r(0)} \int_{B_r(0)} u^q>0. \] Here \(u\) is a non-negative non-zero \(p\)-subharmonic function on \(M\), \(q>0\) is arbitrary, 0 is fixed point of \(M\). Another result is Harnack's inequality \[ \sup_{B_r(0)}u<C \inf_{B_r(0)}u \] for positive \(p\)-harmonic functions. The authors investigate the dependence of \(C\) on the geometry of \((M,g)\). The result is new even in the case \(p=2\).
