      Following \textit{F. W. Lawvere}'s original concept of normed category [Rend. Semin. Mat. Fis. Milano 43, 135--166 (1974; Zbl 0335.18006); Repr. Theory Appl. Categ. 2002, No. 1, 1--37 (2002; Zbl 1078.18501)], as a category enriched in a certain symmetric monoidal-closed category, this paper introduces notions of Cauchy convergence and cocompleteness for such categories that differ from proposals in previous works.\N\NThe synopsis of the paper goes as follows:\N\N\begin{itemize}\N\item[\S 2--\S 4] present the fundamentals of \(\mathcal{V}\)-normed category theory in detail, where \(\mathcal{V}\) is an arbitrary quantale. Theorem 3.3 summarizes the properties of the category \(\mathsf{Cat}//\mathcal{V}\) of all \(\mathcal{V}\)-normed categories and \(\mathcal{V}\)-normed functors most important in this paper. It is shown in Appendix A that \(\mathsf{Cat}//\mathcal{V}\) is locally presentable.\N\N\item[\S 5--\S 6] introduce the key notions of \textit{Cauchy sequence} and of \textit{normed convergence} of a sequence in a \(\mathcal{V}\)-normed category, tightening the corresponding definitions as proposed by \textit{W. Kubiś} [``Categories with norms'', Preprint, \url{arXiv:1705.10189}] in the context of \(\mathcal{V}=\mathcal{R}_{+_{{}}}\).\N\N\item[\S 7--\S 8] consider the key examples of large normed categories, showing that the category \(\mathsf{Met}_{\infty}\) of all Lawvere metric spaces and arbitrary maps is Cauchy cocomplete (Corollary 7.5) and that the category \(\mathsf{NVec}_{\infty}\) of generalized normed vector spaces and the category \(\mathsf{SNVec}_{\infty}\) of semi-normed vector spaces are also so (Theorem 8.4 and Corollary 8.9).\N\N\item[\S 9] presents the key element of this study of \(\mathcal{V}\)-normed categories to be understood in the enriched monoidal-closed category \(\mathsf{Set}//\mathcal{V}\), establishing that its presheaf categories are Cauchy cocomplete under a couple of alternative mild conditions on the quantale \(\mathcal{V}\) (Theorem 9.3). It is shown in Appendix C that the two alternative conditions on \(\mathcal{V}\) are logically independent.\N\N\item[\S 10--\S 11] exhibit the normed colimits as weighted colimits in the sense of enriched category theory, invoking the machinery developed by \textit{M. H. Albert} and \textit{G. M. Kelly} [J. Pure Appl. Algebra 51, No. 1--2, 1--17 (1988; Zbl 0656.18004)] and \textit{G. M. Kelly} and \textit{V. Schmitt} [Theory Appl. Categ. 14, 399--423 (2005; Zbl 1082.18004)] to show the existence of a Cauchy cocompletion of \(\mathbb{X}\) belonging to the same universe as the given \(\mathcal{V}\)-normed category \(\mathbb{X}\).\N\N\item[\S 12] presents an easily established \textit{Banach Fixed Point Theorem} for a contractive endofunctor of a Cauchy cocomplete normed category which replicates the classical theorem in the case of a complete metric space, considered as a small normed category.\N\end{itemize}
