In this article, the author proposes three systems of equations for the Timoshenko beam coupled with different hyperbolic equations with dissipation. In one case, the existence and uniqueness of solutions are demonstrated using linear semigroup theory. In the other two cases, this is omitted, which seems appropriate for the sake of simplicity(not to be repetitive). In all cases, polynomial stability (type \(t^{-1}\)) is obtained using energy methods. In the case where the coefficients defining the problems satisfy certain relations, it is shown that the decay is also exponential.\N\NIn recent years, there has been a proliferation of articles devoted to the mathematical study of systems that couple thermal and mechanical effects without arguments based on constitutive theory and compatible with the basic axioms of thermomechanics. This leads to the proposal of various mathematical problems that are not without interest from this perspective, but whose thermomechanical interest I cannot guarantee (a priori). In some cases, this article lacks this fact, since it does not propose an argument (or reference) based on the axioms of thermomechanics.
