The class of shod algebras (shod for \textit{small homological dimensions}) was introduced by Coelho-Lanzilotta in an attempting to generalized the quasi-tilted algebra introduced by Happel-Reiten-Smaløat the end of last century. An algebra is shod provided each of its indecomposable module has either the projective dimension at most one or the injective dimension at most one. Shod algebras have global dimension at most three and if it has global dimension at most two, it coincides with the quasi-tilted algebras. Strickly shod algebras are shod algebras with global dimension equal three. Recently, Buan and Zhou established a connection between shod algebras and the so-called silted algebras, proving that an algebra is silted if and only if it is tilted or strictly shod algebra. The purposes of this paper is to show that there are no strictly shod algebras in the class of hereditary gentle algebras. Also, as an application, the authors give a classification of the silted algebras for types \(\mathbb{A}_n\) and \(\mathbb{\tilde{A}}_n\). For that, the explore the geometric models of gentle algebras.
