This paper considers the problem of determining the greatest possible dimension for an affine subspace of the space of alternating matrices in which every matrix has rank equal to \(r\) (or rank at least \(r\)). It extends \textit{E. Rubei}'s result in [Linear Algebra Appl. 644, 259--269 (2022; Zbl 1487.15023)] to all fields with large enough cardinality.
