The first cohomology of the Lie superalgebra \(\widetilde{P}(2)\) with coefficients in the Kac modules is computed. \(\widetilde{P}(2)\) is the subalgebra of the Lie superalgebra \(gl(2|2)\) consisting of \(4 \times 4\) matrices of the form \(\left(\begin{matrix} A & B \\\NC & -A^\top \end{matrix}\right)\), where \(B^\top = B\) and \(C^\top = C\). It possess a \(\mathbb Z\)-grading \(\widetilde{P}(2) = \mathfrak g_{-1} \oplus \mathfrak g_0 \oplus \mathfrak g_1\) with \(-1\), \(0\) and \(1\) components of dimension \(1\), \(4\), and \(3\) respectively. A Kac module over \(\widetilde{P}(2)\) is an induced module of the form \(U(\widetilde{P}(2)) \otimes_{U(\mathfrak g_0 \oplus\mathfrak g_1)} M(\lambda)\), where \(M(\lambda)\) is an (irreducible finite-dimensional) highest weight module over \(\mathfrak g_0\), such that \(\mathfrak g_1 M(\lambda) = 0\).\N\NThe computations are straightforward, utilizing the detailed analysis of the structure of Kac modules, and the well-known fact about invariance of cohomology with respect to the torus action (called ``weight-derivation'' in the paper). This work is inspired by \textit{Y. Su} et al., Proc. Lond. Math. Soc. 94, No. 1, 91--136 (2007; Zbl 1118.17005)], where similar computations (also for the second degree cohomology) are done for Lie superalgebras \(sl(m|n)\) and \(osp(2|2n)\).
