The universality property of a function \(f\) considered in the paper means the possibility of uniform approximation, in a certain weak sense, of an arbitrary holomorphic function on a strip-like domain by shifts of \(f\). The universality of the Riemann zeta-function was proved by \textit{S. M. Voronin} [Math. USSR, Izv. 9, 443--453 (1975; Zbl 0333.30023)], later this result was generalized and stengthened; see [\textit{A. Reich}, Nachr. Akad. Wiss. Göttingen, II. Math.-Phys. Kl. 1977, 1--17 (1977; Zbl 0379.10025); \textit{B. Bagchi}, Math. Z. 181, 319--334 (1982; Zbl 0479.10028)]. The author proves that certain functions derived from a universal function \(f\) share the universality property. Such are the functions \(f'/f\), \(f^{(n)}\), \(1/f\), \(f^n\), for any natural number \(n\).
