Suppose that an affine algebraic group \(G\) acts rationally on an associative \(k\)-algebra \(R\) by automorphisms. Rationality of an action means that there exists an algebra homomorphism \(\Delta\colon R\to R\otimes k[G]\), where \(k[G]\) is the algebra of regular functions on \(G\), such that \(gr=\sum_ir_if_i(g)\) provided \(\Delta(r)=\sum_ir_i\otimes f_i\). An ideal \(I\) in \(R\) is rational if the center of \(R/I\) is equal to \(k\). The main result of the paper shows that a prime ideal \(P\) is locally closed in \(\text{Spec\,}R\) if and only if \(\bigcap_{g\in G}g(P)\) is locally closed in the topological space \(G\text{-Spec\,}R\) of \(G\)-prime ideals. If a rational prime ideal \(P\) is locally closed in \(\text{Spec\,}R\) then its \(G\)-orbit is open in its closure in the topological subspace of rational ideals in \(\text{Spec\,}R\).
