According to a well-known criterion of reflexivity due to \textit{G. Ya. Lozanovsky} [Sov. Math., Dokl. 9, 1415--1418 (1968); translation from Dokl. Akad. Nauk SSSR 183, 521--523 (1968; Zbl 0189.42601)] and \textit{H. P. Lotz} [Math. Ann. 209, 117--126 (1974; Zbl 0294.46005)], a Banach lattice is reflexive if and only if it does not contain any subspace (or any sublattice) isomorphic to either \(c_{0}\) or \(\ell^{1}\), see \textit{P. Meyer-Nieberg} [Banach lattices. Berlin etc.: Springer-Verlag (1991; Zbl 0743.46015)]. This result is extended to the context of finitely generated Banach \(C(K)\)-modules \(X\) by proving the equivalence of the following conditions: (a) \(X\) is reflexive; (b) \(X\) does not contain any subspace isomorphic to either \(c_{0}\) or \(\ell^{1};\) (c) \(X^{\prime}\) does not contain a subspace isomorphic to \(\ell^{1};\) (c) each cyclic subspace of \(X\) does not contain any subspace isomorphic to either \(c_{0}\) or \(\ell^{1};\) (d) each cyclic subspace of \(X\) is reflexive. Several examples concerning the optimality of the hypotheses are included.
