Multicolored permutations, sequences, and tableaux (Q757371)

This paper follows on from the author's recent paper [J. Comb. Theory, Ser. A 53, No.1, 53-67 (1990)] on a multicoloured extension of the classical Simon Newcomb problem. Two related enumeration problems, on multicoloured permutations and multicoloured tableaux, are considered: the generating functions for these problems constitute a ``family'' of results. Use is made of procedures of \textit{D. E. Knuth} [Pac. J. Math. 34, 709-727 (1970; Zbl 0199.319)].
