The paper aims to consider symmetries of integrable PDEs with one temporal variable and one spatial coordinate. The equations have a polynomial structure and their integrability is based on their zero-curvature representation with spectral parameter. The analysis aims to generalize the procedure to construct an infinite set of dynamical invariants (conservation laws), which is a characteristic consequence of integrability, for systems where the dynamical invariants are represented by noncommuting operators (a non-abelian set of the conserved quantities). This analysis is applied to integrable equations which belong to the Korteweg-de Vries hierarchy.
