Let \(k\) be an algebraically closed field and \(A\) a finite dimensional \(k\)-algebra. \textit{T. Adachi} et al. [Compos. Math. 150, No. 3, 415--452 (2014; Zbl 1330.16004)] introduced the notions of \(\tau\)-tilting \(A\)-module and support \(\tau\)-tilting \(A\)-module which are generalizations of tilting \(A\)-module. Denote by \(s\tau\)-tilt\(A\) the set of isomorphism classes of basic support \(\tau\)-tilting \(A\)-modules, and by 2-silt\(A\) (resp. 2-tilt\(A\)) the set of isomorphism classes of basic two-term silting (resp. tilting) complexes in the bounded homotopy category of finitely generated projective \(A\)-modules. In [loc. cit.], it was shown that \(s\tau\)-tilt\(A\) and 2-silt\(A\) are isomorphic as posets. Note that 2-silt\(A\) and 2-tilt\(A\) coincide for a symmetric algebra \(A\), in particular, a finite group algebra \(A\). In the paper under review, the authors study the posets of support \(\tau\)-tilting modules over blocks of finite group algebras. Let \(k\) be an algebraically closed field of characteristic \(p>0\). Let \(\tilde{G}\) be a finite group with normal subgroup \(G\), \(B\) a block of the group algebra \(kG\), \(\tilde{B}\) a block of \(k\tilde{G}\) covering \(B\), and \(I_{\tilde{G}}(B)\) the inertial group of \(B\) in \(\tilde{G}\). It is shown that, if \(\tilde{G}/G\) is a \(p\)-group and \(B\) satisfies two conditions: (I) any indecomposable \(B\)-module is \(I_{\tilde{G}}(B)\)-invariant; (II) the block \(B\) is \(\tau\)-tilting finite, then the induction functor \(\mathrm{Ind}_G^{\tilde{G}} = k\tilde{G}\otimes_{kG}-\) induces poset isomorphisms \(s\tau\)-tilt\(B \cong s\tau\)-tilt\(\tilde{B}\) and 2-tilt\(B\cong\) 2-tilt\(\tilde{B}\). Moreover, these poset isomorphisms are compatible with the poset isomorphisms \(s\tau\)-tilt\(B \cong\) 2-tilt\(B\) and \(s\tau\)-tilt\(\tilde{B} \cong\) 2-tilt\(\tilde{B}\). Furthermore, if \(B\) has a cyclic defect group then the conditions (I) and (II) are automatically satisfied. Thus the posets \(s\tau\)-tilt\(B\) and \(s\tau\)-tilt\(\tilde{B}\) are isomorphic. Moreover, the cardinality of \(s\tau\)-tilt\(\tilde{B}\) is \(\binom{2e}{e}\) where \(e\) is the number of isomorphism classes of simple \(B\)-modules.
