To compute the cohomology with differential forms also for singular complex analytic varieties, the author introduces extendable differentiable differential forms. The sheaf of \(C^{\infty}\)-sections of the vector bundle \(\Lambda^pT^*X'\) on the regular part of \(X\) is extended over the singular locus with the \(C^{\infty}_X\)-module \(\Omega^p_X\otimes_{{\mathcal O}_X}C^{\infty}_X\). These sheaves form a cochain complex, leading to extendable cohomology groups \(H_{\text{ext}}^p(X)\), which are shown to surject onto \(H^p(X)\). As application it is shown that the topological Chern classes of a complex vector bundle can be computed using extendable Chern classes, defined via a Chern-Weil type theory.
