Let \(X\) be a regular irreducible variety in \(\mathbb{C} \mathbb{P}^{n-1},\) and \(Y\) the associated homogeneous variety in \(\mathbb{C}^n\) which has an isolated singularity at the origin. Let \(D\subset\subset Y\) be an open subset, \(D^*=D\setminus \{0\},\) and \(1\leq p \leq \infty, \;1\leq q\leq {\text{dim}} Y\). It is shown that for \(\omega \in L^p_{(0,q)}(D^*)\cap {\text{ker}}(\overline \partial)\) with compact support in \(D\) there exists \(\eta \in L^p_{(0,q-1)}(D^*)\) such that \(\overline \partial \eta = \omega\). Using this result it is proved that the first cohomology with compact support vanishes. For the study of the \(\overline \partial \)-equation on singular complex spaces Hironaka's resolution of singularities is used in order to pull-back the \(\overline \partial \)-equation to a regular setting, where it is treatable much easier.
