The aim of this paper is to introduce new polynomial invariants of a finite-dimensional semisimple and cosemisimple Hopf algebra \(A\) which has the braiding structures over a field \(k\). The coefficients of polynomial invariants are integers if \(k\) is a finite Galois extension of the rational number field \(\mathbb{Q}\), and \(A\) is a scalar extension of some finite-dimensional semisimple Hopf algebra over \(\mathbb{Q}\). Furthermore, it is shown that the polynomial invariants are indeed tensor invariants of the representation category of \(A\). The difference between the representation category and the representation ring of \(A\) is recognized. By computing and comparing polynomial invariants, some new examples of pairs of Hopf algebras are found such that their representation rings are isomorphic, but their representation categories are distinct. Also, the polynomial invariants are useful for examining whether the representation categories of two such Hopf algebras are monoidal equivalent or not.
