This paper in infinite-dimensional holomorphy studies some topologies on spaces of holomorphic functions defined on open subsets of Banach spaces. The main object of study here are holomorphic functions \(f:U\to{\mathbb C}\) from some open subset \(U\) of a Banach space \(E\) that are so-called weakly continuous or weakly uniformly continuous or weakly uniformly continuous on weakly compact sets of \(U\); there are also weak star versions. Under favorable circumstances, their study can be reduced to working with holomorphic functions that are of the form \(x\mapsto p(x_1^*(x),\dots,x_n^*(x))\), where \(x\in E\), the \(x_i^*\in E^*\) lie in the dual space \(E^*\) of \(E\), and \(p:{\mathbb C}^n\to{\mathbb C}\) is a holomorphic polynomial. We quote only two of the results. Theorem~2.6. Let \(E\) be a reflexive Banach space with a Schauder basis, \(U\) be a weakly open subset of \(E\) that is convex with respect to the family of polynomials weakly uniformly continuous on all bounded open subsets of \(E\). Then the spectrum of the algebra \({\mathcal H}_{wuk}(U)\) of holomorphic functions \(f:U\to{\mathbb C}\) that are weakly uniformly continuous on weakly compact subsets of \(U\) can be identified with \(U\). In particular, every continuous multiplicative linear functional \({\mathcal H}_{wuk}(U)\to{\mathbb C}\) is of the form \(f\mapsto f(x_0)\) for some \(x_0\in U\). Theorem~3.3. Let \(E,F\) be Banach spaces, and suppose that \(E,U\) are as in Theorem~2.6, and \(V\subset F\) is open. Then every continuous algebra homomorphism \(T:{\mathcal H}_{wuk}(U)\to{\mathcal H}_{wuk}(V)\) is a composition operator, i.e., of the form \(T(f)=f\circ\varphi\) with a \(\varphi\in{\mathcal H}_{wuk}(V,U)\). The paper is technical, but clearly written.
