Let \(G\) be an LCA group with dual group denoted by \(\widehat{G}\). Given a relatively compact Borel set \(\Omega\subset\widehat{G}\), the Paley Wiener space \(PW_\Omega\) is the set of functions in \(L^2(G)\) whose Fourier transform vanishes at the complement of \(\Omega\). This paper concerns the existence of sampling and interpolating sets \(\Lambda\subset G\) for \(PW_\Omega\). For the set \(\Lambda\) to be a sampling (resp. interpolating) set it is necessary that its lower (resp. upper) uniform density be bigger (resp. smaller) than a certain critical value. These notions of density -- introduced by Gröchenig, Kutyniok and Seip -- suitably extend to the setting of LCA groups the Beurling's densities defined on \(\mathbb R^d\). The main achievement in this paper is to prove the existence of sampling sets and interpolating sets which are arbitrarily close to the critical density. By the way, the authors prove the existence of Riesz bases of characters for \(L^2(\Omega)\), provided \(\Omega\) satisfies a multi-tiling condition. They result generalizes Fuglede's theorem.
