The semicrossed products \(\mathcal{A}\times_{\alpha}\mathbb{Z}_{+}\) and \(\mathcal{B}\times_{\beta}\mathbb{Z}_{+}\) of \(C^{*}\)-algebras by their \(*\)-automorphisms are isometrically isomorphic if \(\alpha\) and \(\beta\) are outer conjugate. By \textit{P.\,Muhly} and \textit{B.\,Solel}'s result in [Proc.\ Lond.\ Math.\ Soc.\ 81(3), 113--168 (2000; Zbl 1036.46046)], the converse holds true whenever \(\alpha\) and \(\beta\) have full Connes spectrum. This result is recovered and complemented. Given isomorphic products, one can find a \(C^{*}\)-isomorphism \(\gamma: \mathcal{A}\rightarrow\mathcal{B}\) so that \(\alpha\circ\gamma^{-1}\circ\beta^{-1}\circ\gamma\) is universally weakly inner w.r.t. irreducible representations. Thus, for separable simple \(\mathcal{A}\) and \(\mathcal{B}\), the converse follows from \textit{A.\,Kishimoto}'s identification of universally weakly inner and inner automorphisms [Commun.\ Math.\ Phys.\ 81, 429--435 (1981; Zbl 0467.46056)].
