A metric space \(X\) is called ultrahomogeneous if every isometry between finite metric subspaces of \(X\) can be extended to an isometry of \(X\) onto itself. A metric space \(Z\) is called age-indivisible if for every finite metric subspace \(Y\) of \(Z\) and every partition \(Z=B\cup R\) of the underlying set of \(Z,\) the space \(Y\) embeds in \(B\) or \(R.\) A metric space \(X\) is called weakly indivisible if for every finite metric subspace \(Y\) of \(X\) and every partition \(X=B\cup R\), either \(Y\) embeds in \(B\) or \(X\) embeds in \(R.\) The authors study the question whether for a countable ultrahomogeneous metric space weak indivisibility is a strictly stronger property than age-indivisibility. Among other things they show that the integer Urysohn space is weakly indivisible, while they leave open the question whether the rational Urysohn space is weakly indivisible, although it is known to be age-indivisible.
