    Given \(n \in \mathbb N\) and \(t \in \mathbb R\), we denote by \(\Omega_{n,t}\) the domain in \(\mathbb C^2\) \[ \Omega_{n,t} = \{ (z, w)\in \mathbb C^2: \text{Re} w + |z w|^2 + |z|^{2n + 2}+ t |z|^2 \text{Re}(z^{2n}) < 0 \}\;. \] This class of domains naturally includes the Kohn-Nirenberg domain \(\Omega_{KN} := \Omega_{3, \frac{1}{7}}\) and the domains \(\Omega^{(t)}_{F} := \Omega_{2, t}\), \(1 < t < \frac{9}{5}\), which were introduced by \textit{J. E. Fornæss} in [Math. Ann. 227, 173--175 (1977; Zbl 0346.32026)] as examples of domain not admitting holomorphic functions \(\mathcal C^1\) up to the boundary and peaking at the origin. In this paper the authors prove that if \(1 < |t| < \frac{(n+1)^2}{2n +1}\), the automorphism group of \(\Omega_{n,t} \) is generated by the map \(\varphi(z, w) = (e^{i \frac{\pi}{n}} z, w)\) and it is therefore cyclic of order \(2n\). Notice that the assumption \( |t| < \frac{(n+1)^2}{2n +1}\) correspond to require that \(\Omega_{n,t}\) is pseudoconvex, while the assumption \(|t|>1\) guarantees that \(\Omega_{n,t}\) has non trivial intersection with its holomorphic tangent space at \(0\). The automorphism group of the Kohn-Nirenberg domain \(\Omega_{KN}\) was determined with different arguments by the same authors [Math. Z. 263, No. 2, 295--305 (2009; Zbl 1177.32012)].
