Liminf approximation sets for abstract rationals
The present research is devoted to an analogy of the Jarník-Besicovitch theorem for liminf sets.\N\NThe main statements are presented with auxiliary explanations, remarks, and examples. Such notions as Dirichlet's theorem in Diophantine approximation, the set of \(\beta\)-abstract rationals, and the well-defined set of abstract rationals, as well as an exponential shrinking problem, etc., are recalled. Some attention is given to a description of the methodology in proofs. Also, applications of the main results are given and include \(p\)-adic weighted approximations, real weighted inhomogeneous approximations, and complex Diophantine approximations, as well as approximations on missing digit sets.
