Polynomial interpolation and generalizations of mean value theorem

For smooth functions \(f\) defined on real intervals the authors consider several types of interpolating polynomials \(Pf\) and establish mean-value formulas expressing \((f-Pf)(x)/(g- Pg)(x)\) in terms of suitable derivatives of \(f\) and \(g\).
