Properties of the zeros of generalized basic hypergeometric polynomials
From MaRDI portal
Abstract: We define the generalized basic hypergeometric polynomial of degree in terms of the generalized basic hypergeometric function, which depends on (arbitrary, generic, possibly complex) parameters , the parameters and the parameters . In this paper we obtain a set of nonlinear algebraic equations satisfied by the zeros of this polynomial. We moreover identify an -matrix featuring the eigenvalues , where These eigenvalues depend only on the parameters (besides and ), implying that the -matrix is isospectral for variations of the parameters ; and they clearly are rational numbers if and the parameters are themselves rational numbers: a nontrivial Diophantine property.
