Abstract: Let pgeq5 be a prime number. We find all the possible subgroups G of mGL2(mathbbZ/pmathbbZ) such that there exists a number field k and an elliptic curve mathcalE defined over k such that the mGal(k(mathcalE[p])/k)-module mathcalE[p] is isomorphic to the G-module (mathbbZ/pmathbbZ)2 and there exists ninmathbbN such that the local-global divisibility by pn does not hold over mathcalE(k).
