On rationality properties of involutions of reductive groups

Für einen Körper \(k\) einer Charakteristik \(\neq 2\) und eine zusammenhängende lineare reduktive \(k\)-Gruppe \(G\) versteht man unter einer \(k\)-Involution \(\vartheta\) von \(G\) einen \(k\)-Automorphismus \(\vartheta\) von \(G\) der Ordnung 2. Für \(k=\mathbb{R}\), \(\mathbb{C}\) bzw. algebraisch abgeschlossen sind solche Involutionen etwa in Zusammenhang mit der Darstellungstheorie untersucht worden. In der vorliegenden Arbeit wird der allgemeine Fall behandelt, insbesondere auch lokale Körper. Bemerkenswerte Ergebnisse sind: ein einfaches Kriterium für die Existenz eigentlicher \(\vartheta\)-stabiler parabolischer \(k\)-Untergruppen von \(G\), ein Struktursatz und ein Konjugationstheorem für die minimalen derartigen Untergruppen, eine Verallgemeinerung der Cartan-Involution.
