On method of osculating circle for solving nonlinear equations
From MaRDI portal
Publication:2493783
A cubically convergent iterative method is discussed for solving a nonlinear real scalar equation \(f(x)=0\). It is derived from an osculating circle to \(f(x)\) at \(x=x_n\). Convergence analysis and numerical examples are given.
