Phase portraits of separable quadratic systems and a bibliographical survey on quadratic systems

The authors present an extensive and very complete survey of papers related with quadratic systems which is the longest one I have seen after the Bibliographies done by Prof J.W. Reyn from TU Delft in the 90's. Moreover, this survey includes many new papers that were not still produced by that time. Apart from this, the complete study of a family of quadratic systems (separable ones) is presented producing 10 topologically different phase portraits. The study is done using classical techniques, and even the family being quite simple, it is nice to see how a family depending of six parameters can be reduced to several families (up to 5) depending on a single parameter. Moreover, there appear some non-elementary singular points which imply the use to blow-ups to determine their local phase portrait.
