Abstract: Motivated by the large discrepancy of CP-violating phase in mixing between the experimental data and the Standard Model prediction, we pursue possible solutions within a family non-universal Zprime model. Within such a specific model, we find that both the mixing anomaly and the well-known "piK puzzle" could be moderated simultaneously with a nontrivial new weak phase, phisLsim72circ (S1) or 82circ (S2). With the stringently constrained Zprime coupling BsbL, we then study the Zprime effects on the rare BoXsmu+mu and Bsomu+mu decays, which are also induced by the same bos transition. The observables of BoXsmu+mu, at both high and low q2 regions, are found to be able to put strong constraints on the mumuZprime coupling, BmumuL,Rsim102. It is also shown that the combined constraints from mixing, BopiK and BoXsmu+mu do not allow a large Zprime contribution to the pure leptonic Bsomu+mu decay.
