Suppose \(f(z)=\int^{\infty}_{0}(1/(z+t)-(1/t))d\mu (t)\) is an operator monotone function on (-\(\infty,0)\) with \(f(0+)=0\) and define for \(x>0\check f(x)=2\{\int^{x/2}_{0}| d\mu (t)| /t+\frac{x}{2}\int^{\infty}_{x/2}| d\mu (t)| /t^ 2\}.\) The author proves the inequalities \[ \| f(T)-f(T')\| <\check f(\| T-T'\|),\quad \| f(T)-f(T')\|_{\sigma}<8\| \check f(| T-T'|)\|_{\sigma} \] where \(T,T'\) are two maximal accretive Hilbert space operators with \(D(T)=D(T')\) and \(T-T'\) bounded; \(\|.\|_{\sigma}\) is any symmetric norm.
