The authors obtain some new naturally reductive and non naturally reductive left-invarant Einsein metrics on the exceptional Lie group \(E_7\). To this end, they consider a decomposition of the Lie algebra \(\mathfrak{g}=\mathfrak{e}_7\) by using the generalized Wallach space \(G/H=E_7/\mathrm{Spin}(8)\). Their classification has been obtained by \textit{Yu. G. Nikonorov} in [Geom. Dedicata 181, 193--212 (2016; Zbl 1341.53079)] and by \textit{Z. Chen} et al. in [Commun. Anal. Geom. 24, No. 4, 769--792 (2016; Zbl 1368.53040)]. More precisely, if \(\mathfrak{m}=\mathfrak{p}_1\oplus\mathfrak{p}_2\oplus \mathfrak{p}_3\) is an \(\mathrm{Ad}(H)\)-invariant decomposition of the tangent space of \(G/H\) into irreducible pairwise orthogonal modules, they consider the Li algebra decomposition \(\mathfrak{g}=\mathfrak{h}\oplus\mathfrak{p}_1\oplus\mathfrak{p}_2\oplus \mathfrak{p}_3, (\mathfrak{h}=D_4)\), and left-invariant metrics of the form \(\langle\ ,\ \rangle =u_1B|{\mathfrak{h}}+u_2B|{\mathfrak{p}_1}+u_3B|{\mathfrak{p}_2} +u_4B|{\mathfrak{p}_3}\) (\(B\) is the negative of the Killing form of \(\mathfrak{g}\)). A formula for Ricci tensor is given in terms of Casimir constants, using standard formula from [\textit{A. L. Besse}, Einstein manifolds. Berlin: Springer (1987; Zbl 0613.53001)]. Four left-invariant Einstein metrics are obtained. Three are naturally reductive and one is not. One of the naturally reductive metrics is new, in addition to ones obtained in [\textit{J. E. D'Atri} and \textit{W. Ziller}, Naturally reductive metrics and Einstein metrics on compact Lie groups. Providence, RI: American Mathematical Society (AMS) (1979; Zbl 0404.53044)]. The non naturally reductive metric is new, and different from those obtained for \(E_7\), in [\textit{A. Arvanitoyeorgos} et al., Geom. Dedicata 160, 261--285 (2012; Zbl 1253.53043); \textit{I. Chrysikos} and \textit{Y. Sakane}, J. Geom. Phys. 116, 152--186 (2017; Zbl 1390.53041)].
