A classical result by \textit{J. Diestel} establishes that the composition of a summing operator with a strongly measurable Pettis integrable function gives a Bochner integrable function, see [Math. Ann. 196, 101--105 (1972; Zbl 0221.46040)]. In this paper, the authors show the following general result: Theorem 3. An operator \(u:X\rightarrow Y\) is RS-abstract summing if and only if there is a constant \(C>0\) such that \( \int_{\Omega }\widetilde{S}( u,f,g,w)\, d\mu ( w) \leq C\sup\limits_{\varphi \in K}\int_{\Omega }\widetilde{R}( u,f,g,w)\, d\mu ( w) \) for all simple functions \(f\in M \) and all simple functions \(g\in N\). They use this general result to obtain various results, with special attention on the case of \(( p,\sigma ) \)-absolutely continuous operators. The interested reader is invited to consult the paper for all unexplained notations and notions.
