In [J. Algebra 460, 1--25 (2016; Zbl 1376.16039)] \textit{T. Brzeziński} defined Rota-Baxter systems to extend Rota-Baxter operators defined in [\textit{J.-L. Loday}, Lect. Notes Math. 1763, 7--66 (2001; Zbl 0999.17002)]. These are associative algebras with two linear endomorphisms subject to a pair of Rota-Baxter like conditions. These systems not only generalize Rota-Baxter algebras, they also establish links to dendriform algebras. \textit{T. Brzeziński} later introduced curved Rota-Baxter systems and connected them to differential graded algebras and pre-Lie algebras in [Bull. Belg. Math. Soc. - Simon Stevin 23, No. 5, 713--720 (2016; Zbl 1404.16032)]. However, their relationships with (tri)dendriform algebras remained unexplored in the literature.\N\Nthe main goal of the paper under review is to introduce and study (curved) \(\mathcal{O}\)-operator systems, which simultaneously generalize Brzeziński's Rota-Baxter systems, \(\mathcal{O}\)-operators of \textit{C. Bai} et al. [Pac. J. Math. 256, No. 2, 257--289 (2012; Zbl 1285.16031)], and \textit{J.-L. Loday} and \textit{M. Ronco}'s (tri)dendriform systems [Contemp. Math. 346, 369--398 (2004; Zbl 1065.18007)]. Then using the formalism they developed, the authors investigate relationships between \(\mathcal{O}\)-operator systems, pre-Lie algebras, (tri)dendriform systems, associative Yang-Baxter pairs, and quasitriangular covariant bialgebras.
