The authors introduce a reformulation of some problems in analytical mechanics in a geometric spirit. The standard formulation of analytical mechanics in the language of differential geometry leads to some problems in several situations. In this work, the authors, inspired by Tulczyjew's results, developed the geometric framework. In this approach, vector bundles and functions are replaced, respectively, by affine bundles and sections over certain affine bundles. Applications of this framework are studied.
