Smooth real cocycles with values in the special linear group \(SL(2,{\mathbb R})\) arise as solution operators for linear nonautonomous differential equations with coefficients exhibiting a recurrence property such as Bohr almost periodicity, Birkhoff recurrence or chain recurrence in the sense of Conley, etc. This interesting paper studies the positivity of the Lyapunov exponent for such cocycles defined over a flow from a class including in particular those of Kronecker type, and how often this property occurs. Furthermore, the density of such cocycles admitting an exponential dichotomy in the Hölder class is investigated, provided the base flow is Kronecker on a \(2\)-torus. [For part I, cf. Differ. Equ. Dyn. Syst. 7, No. 3, 349--370 (1999; Zbl 0989.34041).]
