Let \(\mathfrak{g}\) be a complex semisimple Lie algebra. Consider the associated quantum loop algebra \(U_\hbar(L\mathfrak{g})\) and the Yangian \(Y_\hbar(\mathfrak{g})\). The authors construct an explicit algebra morphism \(\Phi\) from \(U_\hbar(L\mathfrak{g})\) to the completion \(\widehat{Y_\hbar(\mathfrak{g})}\) of \(Y_\hbar(\mathfrak{g})\) with respect to its grading. It is showed that \(\Phi\) induces an isomorphism between the completion of \(U_\hbar(L\mathfrak{g})\) with respect to its evaluation ideal and \(\widehat{Y_\hbar(\mathfrak{g})}\), \(\Phi\) induces Drinfeld's degeneration of \(U_\hbar(L\mathfrak{g})\) to \(Y_\hbar(\mathfrak{g})\), and \(\Phi\) exponentiates the roots of Drinfeld polynomials. A similar morphism is constructed for \(\mathfrak{g}=\mathfrak{gl}_n\), and it is proved that it intertwines the actions of \(U_\hbar(L\mathfrak{gl}_n)\) and \(Y_\hbar(\mathfrak{gl}_n)\) on the equivariant \(K\)-theory and cohomology of the variety of \(n\)-step flags in \(\mathbb{C}^d\) constructed by \textit{V. Ginzburg} and \textit{E. Vasserot} [Int. Math. Res. Not. 1993, No. 3, 67--85 (1993; Zbl 0785.17014)].
