This paper focuses on the low-regularity (in-)extendibility of spacetimes within the synthetic-geometric framework of Lorentzian length spaces developed in a previous work of the second and the third author [Ann. Global Anal. Geom. 54, No. 3, 399--447 (2018; Zbl 1501.53057)]. Appropriate notions of geodesics and time-like geodesic completeness are introduced. An interesting general flexibility result is proven. The findings illuminate a new approach to some recent analytic work in this field and for first time relate low-regularity inextendibility to (synthetic) curvature blow-up.
